Today more than anything we are losing our connection with the world and people. We have arrived at a place where we want everything quick or high-speed: fast-fashion, fast-food, etc.; and we do not take into account the impact of this new thought, both in our culture and on the planet.
Hecho a mano is created under the thought of remembering the past to create a better future. That is why my main inspirations for this design were the porcelain and ceramics in the work of Ai Wei Wei: Resetting Memories, his piece Sun-flower seeds and hallucinogenic mushrooms of our prehispanic cultures.
Prototypes of silhouettes & final texture testing using natural elements.
80% of the pieces were handmade and made
with natural materials.
